An Interesting History

Usinex follows a typically Quebecker tradition… family-based companies born out of the spirit of entrepreneurship, self-confidence and the desire to do better than what has already been done.

Family: The five Morin Brothers are from the small village of Milan, located at the foot of Mount Mégantic, who are all active and experienced in the construction industry.

Willingness means to benefit from the plant’s controlled environment to build pre-fabricated houses that stand out in three ways: for their charm, for their quality and for their price.

The company started off in 1992 not by building a house, but rather by erecting plant in which the houses would be built. Having heard about their project, some people ordered Usinex houses before the plant was even completed.

After that, a few years were enough for the company to start winning construction and innovation awards.

Quality leads to sales… and sales leads to growth. Usinex opened sales offices in Chicoutimi in 1996, in Saint-Janvier-de-Mirabel (now located in Sainte-Anne-des-Lacs) in 2005, and then in Mont-Tremblant in 2008.
